One of the oldest wines, it has played a central role in Tuscan tradition
since the Middle Ages and this is why it is at the centre of our attention.
It is made from the Malvasia Bianca and Trebbiano Toscano grapes of our oldest vines, including those of our century-old vineyard. Following meticulous selection, the grapes are left to wither naturally in a well-ventilated room for a few months.
When the time is right, and this can vary from year to year, the grapes are pressed and fermented in 225-litre barriques, where the wine ages for 4 years.
Bottling takes place without any further procedures.
It is a deep, old gold colour. Delicate and smooth on the palate, it has flavours and perfumes reminiscent of toasted almonds, dried and candied fruit, walnuts and honey. Excellent served with desserts.
